The Career Development Centre is successful because it has a range of partners. We acknowledge the partners who work with us to make the services provided by the Career Development Centre possible. As the smallest UniSA campus we don’t have specific career counsellors based here, so we often refer students to the CDC for local and confidential support. The Career Development Centre works. As a community it is vital that we work closely together to improve the services offered to all our members. The Career Development Centre has provided invaluable support to teachers and students in the field of career planning. Teachers view the Career Development Centre as a reference point, so that advice and assistance can be sought from an independent source that is current, connected with industry and outside the education sector, which is specific to our region and free of jargon. Students can receive one on one support without the time restrictions or distractions that occur inside a schooling system.

Group Training Employment is proud to be a partner with the CDC in the Limestone Coast Region, we continually get students, unemployed and mature age people coming into our apprenticeship centre, not knowing where their career path is going, with a poor or no resume at all, and a little lost as to their future. GTE directs them to the CDC, and on many occasions they have returned, with a smile and a new direction, or clear direction as to a vocation they wish to find employment in.
I have found parents of students in particular, very grateful that their child has been referred to an organisation that does listen and actually cares about people
